The Help with Hallmarks App follows on from the AnchorCert Gemstone Weight Estimator APP which has been available for a couple of years and has sold worldwide on both Apple and Android platforms. In a couple of clicks the Anchorcert GemAdd Mediastone Weight Estimator can easily calculate the estimated carat weight of diamonds & gemstones from their measurements.  The calculation will use the measurement of the length, width and depth of the gemstone (and the minimum and maximum diameter of round brilliant diamonds.) The Gemstone weight estimator contains a comprehensive database of diamonds & gemstones as well as a wide selection of shapes/cuts.  The App contains detailed information about each individual gemstone including its Specific Gravity, Mohs Hardness and Refractive Index.  The watchwords of The Birmingham Assay Office are Independence, Integrity and Innovation.  The organisation is definitely living up to all three by providing valuable “on the go tools” for the Trade and Consumers alike.
