Following an informative final presentation by outgoing CE & Assay Master Michael Allchin, the Chairman - Kate Hartigan presented him with retirement gifts on behalf of the Wardens, Guardians and Directors.

3 day pass to silverstone grand prix

Michael will be swapping the Anchor - the mark of Assay Office Birmingham - for a steering wheel.  His has a 3 day pass for the July Grand Prix at Silverstone.

This magnificent silver biscuit barrel studded with amethyst - complete with dark chocolate and ginger biscuits was also presented to Michael.

An informal lunch was served following the presentations  which gave everyone a chance to catch up with each other's news and, views.
