Today at Assay Office Birmingham we had 2 events taking place, an In-House Jewellery Valuation and an Understanding Watches course. VIP Jewellery, Watch & Silverware Valuation Day The jewellery valuation days are extremely popular with customers who require insurance valuations for their precious possessions such as rings, watches, necklaces, bangles, and silverware.

Understanding Watches Delegates on Hallmarking Tour 26082014

This hands-on course is intended for retail staff or enthusiasts who already have some experience of watches. The one day course will provide an understanding of the technical aspects and benefits of different types of watches, improving confidence when selling. It will also teach basic practical skills which will enable delegates to diagnose possible faults and carry out maintenance repairs. The course gives each delegate a chance to handle and study watches closely, and disassemble items using standard basic tools. It also includes a rare opportunity to visit the Hallmarking Operation at Assay Office Birmingham, which is not usually open to the public. The course provides six hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity. The fee for this course is £195 + VAT. You can download a course guide and booking form by clicking on the following link below; http://www.theassayoffice.co.uk/understanding_watches.html If you wish to book a place on a future Understanding Watches course, please call us on 0121 262 1024 or email gem@theassayoffice.co.uk.
